We make society work for people on the move, on tracks, in the air, and at sea.

That’s why we need the best expertise. Our mission is important and has significance in everyday life – both for individuals and businesses. With us, we take responsibility, treat everyone well, and respect differences. As an employee, you contribute to a sustainable future.

About the job

Do you want to help us use AI to develop our service, enhance our analytical capabilities, and make our operations more efficient?

At the Swedish Transport Agency, we are at the beginning of our AI journey, and several initiatives are underway so that we can benefit from the opportunities that can be created with the help of AI in the coming years. An important piece of the puzzle is the internal AI lab that we are currently building to test and evaluate various AI applications.

We are therefore looking for a business developer for the AI lab who will play a central role in translating business needs into prototypes, evaluating solutions, and implementing those solutions that create value for operational operations. You will be part of a team in one of the agency's product areas where you will work together with other business developers, product owners, architects, and developers using agile methodologies. You will also closely collaborate with the cross-functional group within the agency that develops routines and working methods to ensure that work with AI is conducted safely and responsibly. Since the operation is entirely new, you will have a central role in building up the AI lab.

You will be part of the Development and Management section together with about 15 colleagues with different roles within the Common Functions product area. The section's employees are located in Örebro and Norrköping.

With us, you are important

Do you enjoy working with others and want to develop in your professional role? With us, you can expect career development, a trusting leadership and employee relationship, and a sustainable work life. We are a secure employer that cares about your health with time for wellness during working hours, flexible working hours, a generous number of vacation days, and days off around holidays.

You will

  • participate in building the AI lab and establishing working methods for the lab's continued work
  • engage in dialogue with various operations and translate their needs into solution proposals and prototypes
  • test and evaluate different solutions, technologies, and working methods within AI
  • develop and maintain solutions that create lasting value
  • collaborate externally with other authorities
  • contribute to the development of other automation solutions, such as RPA
  • help us use AI as a natural part of the work
  • contribute to the department's development and other assignments.

You must have

  • an academic degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in a relevant field or other equivalent experience deemed comparable by the Swedish Transport Agency
  • current multi-year experience in business development and digitalization
  • good understanding of a data-driven working method and various AI technologies, such as machine learning and generative AI
  • knowledge of regulations regarding information security, data protection, and AI.

It is meritorious if you also have

  • experience in establishing lab or test environments
  • experience working according to agile methods
  • experience in change management
  • experience working in public sector.

We want you to

  • have good collaboration skills and communicate constructively
  • be creative and innovative
  • have problem-solving analytical skills and work well with complex issues.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
